Lent 2026 - A season of fasting, prayer and alms giving
Welcome and many congratulations to Charlene, Jessica and Tony becoming Catholic and coming into the Church during our Easter Vigil celebration - and Tony's young son, Alexander, who was baptised. Do keep them and their Sponsors in your prayers for their continued growth in the Faith. Along with our RCIA group, Charlene, Jessica and Tony will continue to journey over the next few weeks through the Easter period of Mystagogia (entering into the Mystery). "The spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you”
A very big Easter thank you to all those who worked so hard in so many ways preparing the church for the Lenten, Holy Week and Easter Liturgies. Many thanks to all who helped with musical, liturgical, social in the hall and decorative preparations for people’s participation which was great to see was in such great numbers. We’re grateful to all who were involved in various ministries.
Archbishop Nolan's Easter Message
“As we look around our world today, we are saddened and horrified by the many wars and conflicts taking place. So many lives lost! So many innocents killed! So many grieving families who ask why this is happening to them and to their loved ones. The world today is crying out for God to touch human hearts in order to take away bitterness, anger and thoughts of revenge. The state of the world today confirms that humanity cannot solve its own problems, but that we need God to help heal our divisions. Thankfully, God has come among us. At Easter we celebrate the power and presence of God in our world. It is God who gives us the hope that evil can be overcome by good, that human hearts can be transformed by the teaching of Jesus and that peace can be achieved through tolerance and forgiveness. With joy let us proclaim the teaching of Jesus to a humanity so badly in need of God".
