Jubilee Year 2025 ~ Pilgrims of Hope
The theme of the Jubilee Year is "pilgrims of hope".
The theme is intended to encourage Catholics to renew their hope in Christ and to promote peacebuilding.

The Jubilee Year 2025 Prayer
Father in heaven, may the faith you have given us in your son, Jesus Christ, our brother,
and the flame of charity enkindled in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, reawaken in us the blessed hope for the coming of your Kingdom.
May your grace transform us into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel. May those seeds transform from within both humanity and the whole cosmos in the sure expectation of a new heaven and a new earth, when, with the powers of Evil vanquished, your glory will shine eternally.
May the grace of the Jubilee reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope, a yearning for the treasures of heaven. May that same grace spread the joy and peace of our Redeemer throughout the earth. To you our God, eternally blessed, be glory and praise for ever. Amen.

Why Saturday?
Despite the darkness and silence of Holy Saturday, there is a glimmer of hope that permeates the day – a hope born from the promise of Christ’s resurrection.
Pray that our hope in the person and mystery of Christ may, in this Holy Year, be reinforced 🙏

Jubilee Year
Our Jubilee Pilgrimage Week to St Andrew’s Cathedral begins on 9th June, with Evening Prayer at 7:00 pm, followed by refreshments in Eyre Hall.
It would be wonderful for as many of us as possible to come together for this special Jubilee evening of prayer.
During Jubilee Week, the Archdiocese is also encouraging our schools, where possible, to arrange visits to the Cathedral.
