Welcome to our parish website!
Our Lady of Lourdes parish is a Roman Catholic parish in Cardonald, on the South Side of Glasgow. We exist to preach the Word of God and celebrate the Sacraments recalling the words of the patron of our city, St. Mungo: "Let Glasgow flourish by the preaching of thy Word and the praising of thy name!" Pastoral Placement
We are delighted to welcome Jordan Welsh, a seminarian currently studying in Rome, who is spending the month of August with us on pastoral placement. This is to give Jordan a practical experience of parish life and ministry.
We extend to Jordan a warm welcome and assure him of our prayers as he continues his formation for the priesthood.
We pray for all seminarians that God may continue to guide, strengthen, and sustain them as they discern and faithfully respond to His call.
OLSG Thanksgiving Mass and Reception
We will celebrate a special Thanksgiving Mass at 5pm on Sunday 30th August to thank Fr Boyle and parishioners of Our Lady and St George’s Parish for their generosity.
Their kindness and generous gift has enabled us to carry out a number of much-needed improvements to our parish buildings far sooner than would otherwise have been possible.
We are deeply grateful for their support and the lasting difference this has made to our parish community.
Following Mass, everyone is warmly invited to a reception in our newly reopened Front Hall.
If you are unable to join us for the hall reopening celebration on Friday 28th August, this will be another wonderful opportunity to see the remarkable transformation of the hall.
We hope you can join us as we give thanks together.
Front Hall Reopening Celebration
Celebrate with us on Friday 28th August as we officially reopen the Lourdes Parish Front Hall!
Drop in anytime between 7:00pm and 10:00pm to see the incredible transformation of the hall.
Thanks to the extensive refurbishment works during the past few months, this much-loved space has been beautifully restored and secured for many more years of parish community use.
Enjoy refreshments and nibbles or treat yourself to a drink from our new hall bar.
Everyone is welcome, including children, to come along and celebrate with us.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Front Hall Update - These important improvements are helping to safeguard the health, safety, and future of everyone who uses the hall, and we are very grateful for your patience while the work continues.
